Benefits of training

My training involves lots of activity to embed learning into people’s practice.

Participants develop more efficient and effective writing skills through the training, which enables them to communicated more clearly and with greater confidence in their research writing, be that reports or grant proposals, papers or dissertations.

A more focused approach to writing has wider effects, though, as participants develop clearer thinking in planning and performing research and development activities, and become more engaged in their work.

Participants benefit from lots of opportunities to practise writing, feedback on their writing, the opportunity to ask questions, and sharing their experiences with others. Participants also think through the purpose of research writing, which hones their understanding of what and how to communicate most effectively.

Line managers and supervisors then spend less time editing and correcting written work, and have a team of more focused and motivated people.

This is an exciting dynamic as people produce more telling work but become more invested in it too.
