Training offered

Training methods

My training helps people write clearly and effectively in ways that remain far beyond our time together.

Interactive training that includes practise, discussion, and reflection help learning sink in. It’s great to see people enjoy the safe space of training time to try out new approaches and grow in confidence.

Training modes

Training can be delivered online or in-person to suit your needs. Many prefer the personal dynamic of face-to-face training, while others prefer the greater flexibility of online training. In either case, group training involves a great deal of interaction.

  • Whether you’re creating project reports, project proposals, research articles for peer review (papers or book chapters), or a university dissertation, it is key that your writing is clear and speaks to your audience.

Small group training focuses on communication and writing impact. They are based on your writing needs and incorporate lots of training exercises, reflection and feedback.

These sessions have common principles and are suitable for academia, business, charities, and government.

Multi-session programmes are a great way of developing skills through repeated opportunities to write, reflect, and experiment. Stand-alone half-day and full-day sessions also give space to develop writing skills.

  • Training and coaching for researchers and students. This will help develop your ability and confidence to write professional articles that communicate clearly in good English.

Every session includes take-home exercises and feedback to build your writing skills through practice.

  • I offer pre-submission/publication reviews and proofreading on: technical articles, project reports, project/grant proposals, research papers, book chapters, dissertations, and 100-word REF summaries.

I cover a range of subject areas, including science, engineering, humanities, and social policy.

Pricing will depend on the article length and what is required.
